Learn how to get a flat stomach without the burden of having to maintain rock hard abs!
Do you want to know how to get a flat stomach? Well, depriving yourself of food is not the way to go about getting a flat stomach.
Starving oneself, or going on a diet is the common thing most people do when they decide to flatten their stomach, and as such it is a common mistake you will make if you want to flatten your stomach.
Whilst excess fat is stored by eating too much food, thinking that you can lose fat by doing the opposite of what you’ve been doing, i.e. ‘going on a diet’ may not only cause you to keep the stored fat, but also lose muscle strength and deprive your body of the nutrients it need. Let’s examine the word diet for a moment…
The word diet is misleading by name because it implies that you need to deprive yourself of food. In actuality, a diet is the types of food one consumes, and as such, everyone has a diet. A person’s diet differs to another person. Whilst some people may have a diet that is beneficial to them, others may have a diet that is detrimental to their health. So, the phrase you ought to be using is not ‘I’m going on a diet’, but rather, ‘I want to improve my diet’. Improving your diet is the sure way to flatten your stomach.
There Are Good Diets and Bad Diets
If you want to know how to get a flat stomach you need to know the right foods to eat! Whilst eating takeaway meals and microwaving pre-packed meal may seem convenient, it is really not convenient to your body. Such foods are high in saturated fat, which helps to keep your stomach fat and sloppy, weakening the muscles and causing pesticides in your body that makes fat loss difficult. Such foods also have little to no enzymes (life force, nutrients). Have you ever eaten something only to feel hungry a few minutes later and crave for more food? Well, this is because the food you ate had little to no nutrients in them, making you hungry for nutrients, despite the fact that you’ve just eating food (that should have had nutrients). Consuming foods that are rich in nutrients like avocados, seeds, nuts (non-salted), grains, beans, fresh fruit and vegetables will help you massively in your desire to flatten your stomach.
But What About Exercise?
Isn’t exercising a good way to lose stomach fat? Yes. Absolutely! Performing sit-ups and crunches (two different exercises by the way) will help strengthen your abdominal muscles. And performing aerobic exercises such as running, skipping, and swimming will certainly help flatten your stomach and tone it up! However, it is fair to say that you most likely will be eating more than you will be exercising. And because of this you will be better off focusing on learning about the right foods to eat, and implementing them into your lifestyle, and then supplementing this with exercises. The reality is that whilst you may have a sudden splurge to exercise four times a week, you are not likely to sustain it on a continuous basis, especially if you continue to eat junk foods (you’ll lose desire to stay active with junk foods). Whereas if you concerned more on eating well, you will get a flat stomach and maintain it rather easily, and you’ll be more motivated to stay active.
